🍋🧄 Grandma’s Lemon Garlic Capellini (Bright, Zesty & Done in 12 Minutes)

Description

This was grandma’s secret weapon when time was short and mouths were hungry. Delicate angel hair pasta tossed in lemon, garlic, and olive oil. It’s fast, fragrant, and feels like sunshine on a plate. Bonus: it makes you look like you know what you’re doing.

Ingredients

🍝 180 g (6 oz) capellini (angel hair pasta)

🧄 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced

🫒 3 tbsp olive oil

🍋 Zest and juice of 1 lemon

🧂 Salt & black pepper to taste

🌿 Optional: chopped parsley or basil

🧀 Optional: grated Parmesan

Preparation

1️⃣ Cook 🍝 pasta in salted water until al dente (2–3 min).

2️⃣ Meanwhile, heat 🫒 olive oil in a pan. Add 🧄 garlic and sauté lightly (don’t burn it!).

3️⃣ Stir in 🍋 zest and juice. Remove from heat.

4️⃣ Drain pasta, reserve a splash of pasta water.

5️⃣ Toss pasta into pan with sauce. Add some cooking water if needed.

6️⃣ Season with 🧂 and toss well. Top with 🌿 herbs and 🧀 if desired.
