  1. 1️⃣ Soften the dates — Cover pitted dates with hot water and soak 5–10 min until very soft. Tip dates and soaking liquid into the blender jar.
  2. 2️⃣ Build the base — Add milk, yogurt, tahini, cinnamon, salt, and optional honey/maple. Blend on low → medium until dates are completely smooth and no flecks remain, about 30–45 sec.
  3. 3️⃣ Add frozen fruit & ice — Add the frozen banana slices and 4 ice cubes. Blend on high 40–60 sec until thick and creamy. If your blender struggles, stop and stir once. For extra thickness, add the remaining ice cubes.
  4. 4️⃣ Adjust & serve — Taste: add a splash of milk if it’s too thick, or another date for more sweetness. Pour into 2 tall glasses and dust lightly with cinnamon or sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
