Creamy, milkshake-thick smoothie with sweet dates, pistachios, and a whisper of rose water that tastes like a Middle Eastern dessert in a glass. π₯€

Ingredients
- π΄ Soft Medjool dates, pitted: 70 g (4 large / 2.5 oz)
- π§ Hot water (for soaking dates): 60 ml (ΒΌ cup / 2 fl oz)
- π₯ Cold milk (dairy or unsweetened almond milk): 300 ml (1ΒΌ cups / 10 fl oz)
- π₯£ Thick Greek yogurt (or coconut yogurt): 120 g (Β½ cup / 4.2 oz)
- π₯ Shelled pistachios, unsalted: 30 g (ΒΌ cup / 1 oz)
- π Ripe banana, sliced and frozen: 1 small (~90 g / 3.2 oz)
- πΉ Food-grade rose water: 5 ml (1 tsp / 0.17 fl oz)
- π― Honey or date syrup (optional): 5β10 ml (1β2 tsp / 0.2β0.34 fl oz)
- π§ Ice cubes: 4β6 small cubes (~80 g / 2.8 oz)
Preparation
- 1οΈβ£ Soften the dates
- Place pitted dates in a small bowl, cover with hot water, and soak 5β10 min until very soft. Tip both dates and soaking liquid into the blender.
- 2οΈβ£ Build the base
- Add milk, yogurt, pistachios, rose water, and optional honey or date syrup. Blend on medium for 30β45 sec until the nuts and dates are completely smooth.
- 3οΈβ£ Add frozen fruit and ice
- Add the frozen banana slices and ice cubes. Blend on high for 40β60 sec until the smoothie is thick, creamy, and milkshake-like. If itβs too thick to blend, splash in a bit more milk.
- 4οΈβ£ Taste and adjust
