๐ A hearty, slow-cooked stew made with tender pork, sweet paprika, onions, and a rich, savory sauce. This paprikaลก brings warmth and comfort straight to your bowl.
๐ 600g pork shoulder or neck, cut into cubes
๐ง 2 onions, finely chopped
๐ซ 1 red bell pepper, diced
๐ง 2 cloves garlic, minced
๐ถ๏ธ 1 tbsp sweet paprika
๐ถ๏ธ Optional: ยฝ tsp hot paprika or chili flakes
๐ 1 tbsp tomato paste
๐ง Salt and pepper, to taste
๐ข๏ธ 3 tbsp oil or lard
๐ง 500ml water or light broth
๐ฟ Optional: bay leaf or chopped parsley for garnish
1. ๐ฅ Heat oil in a wide pot, add chopped onions and sautรฉ until soft and golden.
2. ๐ง Add garlic and bell pepper, cook for 2โ3 minutes.
3. ๐ฅฉ Add pork cubes, season with salt and pepper. Brown the meat on all sides.
4. ๐ถ๏ธ Stir in paprika (sweet and hot), then add tomato paste. Mix well.
5. ๐ง Pour in water or broth to cover the meat. Add bay leaf if using.
6. ๐ Simmer on low for about 1.5 hours, uncovered, until the meat is tender and the sauce thickens. Add a splash more water if needed during cooking.
7. ๐ฟ Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
