Ingredients
- Osmanthus tea base 🌼
- 🌼 5 g dried osmanthus flowers (2 tbsp / 0.18 oz)
- 💧 200 ml hot water (¾ cup + 1 tbsp / 6.8 fl oz)
- 🍯 20 g honey (1 tbsp / 0.7 oz)
- Lychee fizz mix 🍈
- 🍈 180 ml lychee juice, chilled (¾ cup / 6 fl oz)
- 🍋 25 ml fresh lime juice (1 tbsp + 2 tsp / 0.85 fl oz)
- 🧊 ice cubes, as needed
- 🥂 250 ml sparkling water, chilled (1 cup / 8.5 fl oz)
- For finishing ✨
- 🍈 6 lychees, canned or fresh peeled
- 🍋 2 thin lime wheels
- 🌿 2 small mint sprigs
- 🌼 1 g dried osmanthus flowers, for garnish (½ tsp / 0.03 oz)
Preparation
- 1️⃣ Brew the osmanthus tea 🌼
- Place the dried osmanthus flowers in a heatproof cup, pour over the hot water, and steep for 5 min until fragrant and lightly golden. Strain, then stir in the honey while warm so it dissolves fully. ✨
- 2️⃣ Cool the tea 🧊
- Let the osmanthus tea cool for 10 min, then place it in the fridge for another 15 min until properly chilled. A cold tea base keeps the drink crisp instead of watery. 🌼
- 3️⃣ Prepare the glasses 🍈
- Fill 2 tall glasses with ice, then add 3 lychees to each glass. Press the lychees lightly with a spoon so they release a little fragrance without turning mushy. 🥂
