Soft gnocchi, tangy tomato sauce, bubbling mozzarella — all baked in one dish. No boiling. No fuss. Just 25 minutes to a cozy, cheesy, Italian-inspired dinner that tastes like a warm hug.
Ingredients
- 🥔 500g store-bought gnocchi (uncooked)
- 🍅 400g canned crushed tomatoes
- 🧄 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 🌿 1 tsp dried oregano
- 🧂 Salt & pepper, to taste
- 🧀 200g mozzarella, torn into chunks
- 🫒 2 tbsp olive oil
- 🌱 Fresh basil, for serving
Preparation
- 1️⃣ Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F).
- 2️⃣ In a baking dish, combine uncooked gnocchi, crushed tomatoes, 🧄 garlic, 🧂 seasoning, 🌿 oregano, and 🫒 olive oil. Mix well.
- 3️⃣ Add half the 🧀 mozzarella and stir again.
- 4️⃣ Top with remaining mozzarella. Cover with foil.
- 5️⃣ Bake for 20 min, then uncover and bake 5 more min until golden and bubbling.
- 6️⃣ Top with fresh 🌱 basil and serve hot.
