This bruschetta was a ritual. Grandma would toast the bread on an old pan, rub it with garlic like she was painting flavor into it, then pile on the ripest tomatoes she could find. The result? Crunchy, juicy, and so fresh it feels like the kitchen opened straight into a garden.
️⃣ Toast 🍞 bread slices until golden and crispy.
️⃣ While warm, rub each slice with 🧄 garlic.
️⃣ In a bowl, mix 🍅 tomatoes, 🌿 basil, 🫒 oil, 🧂 salt and pepper.
️⃣ Spoon tomato mixture onto each bread slice just before serving.
️⃣ Drizzle with a little more 🫒 olive oil. Serve immediately while crisp.
