These truffles were grandma’s sneaky way of using leftover amaretti cookies. A little cocoa, a splash of coffee or liqueur, and boom – magic. No baking, no rolling pins, just sticky hands and happy faces. Bittersweet, a little nutty, and totally unforgettable.
🍪 100 g (3.5 oz) amaretti cookies, crushed
🍫 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
🍯 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
☕ 2 tbsp espresso or strong coffee
🍷 Optional: 1 tbsp amaretto liqueur
🌰 Optional: crushed almonds or hazelnuts for coating
1️⃣ Crush 🍪 amaretti cookies into fine crumbs.
2️⃣ In a bowl, mix crumbs with 🍫 cocoa, 🍯 sweetener, ☕ coffee, and 🍷 liqueur if using.
3️⃣ Stir until a sticky dough forms.
4️⃣ Roll into small balls. Coat in 🌰 crushed nuts or more cocoa.
5️⃣ Chill for 30 min before serving.
