This is what nonna would serve when you arrived hungry and unannounced. Warm, toasted bread rubbed with garlic, topped with juicy tomatoes and pillowy burrata, kissed by basil and olive oil. Itβs the soul of Italy β simple, creamy, and unforgettable.
Ingredients
- π 4 thick slices of rustic Italian bread
- π§ 1 garlic clove, peeled and halved

200 g ripe tomatoes, finely diced (1 cup)
- π§ 200 g burrata cheese (7 oz)
- πΏ 6β8 fresh basil leaves, torn
- π« 30 ml extra virgin olive oil (2 tbsp)
- π§ Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- π Optional: 5 ml balsamic glaze (1 tsp) for drizzling
Preparation
