Ingredients
- 🍌 Ripe banana: 120 g (4.2 oz)
- 🖤 Toasted black sesame seeds: 20 g (2 tbsp / 0.7 oz)
- 🥛 Milk or soy milk: 240 ml (1 cup / 8 fl oz)
- 🍯 Honey or maple syrup: 15 ml (1 tbsp / 0.5 fl oz)
- 🌾 Kinako (roasted soybean flour, optional): 8 g (1 tbsp / 0.3 oz)
- ❄️ Ice cubes: 5–6
- 🧂 Pinch of salt (optional)
- 🍨 Optional thicker version: plain yogurt 60 g (1/4 cup / 2.1 oz)
Preparation
- 1️⃣ Lightly toast black sesame seeds in a dry pan for 1–2 min until fragrant; cool.
- 2️⃣ Add milk, banana, sesame, honey (and kinako/yogurt if using) to a blender.
- 3️⃣ Blend until completely smooth; add ice and blend again.
- 4️⃣ Taste and adjust sweetness. Serve immediately.
