🍅 Thin crust, rich tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil — this Margherita Pizza is simplicity done right, straight from the Italian kitchen.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. 1. 🥣 Dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it rest for 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. 2. 🌾 In a bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead into a soft dough.
  3. 3. ⏳ Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. 4. 🔥 Preheat oven to 250°C (480°F), or as hot as possible.
  5. 5. 🍕 Roll out the dough into a thin round. Transfer to a baking tray or pizza stone.
  6. 6. 🍅 Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce. Add garlic if using, and season with salt and pepper.
  7. 7. 🧀 Top with mozzarella and drizzle with olive oil.
  8. 8. 🔥 Bake for 7–10 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  9. 9. 🌿 Add fresh basil just before serving.
