Description
🥄 Creamy, gently sweet rice pudding slowly cooked in milk — sutlijaš je klasik koji prija i kao desert i kao doručak. Topao, hladan, uvek utešan.
Ingredients
- 🍚 100g short-grain rice (okrugli)
- 🥛 1L whole milk (or plant milk for vegan)
- 🍬 3–4 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
- 🧂 Pinch of salt
- 🌸 1 tsp vanilla extract or 1 vanilla sugar
- 🌰 Optional: ground cinnamon or grated lemon zest for topping
Preparation
- 1. 💧 Rinse rice well under cold water.
- 2. 🍚 In a large pot, add rice and half of the milk. Cook on low heat, stirring often.
- 3. 🥛 As it thickens, gradually add remaining milk in portions, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
- 4. 🍬 When rice is tender (after ~30–40 min), add sugar, vanilla, and a pinch of salt. Cook 5 more minutes.
- 5. 🥄 Pour into bowls while warm. Serve warm or chilled. Sprinkle cinnamon on top if desired.
