Description
Crispy wafer layers filled with a warm, rich blend of dark chocolate and ground walnuts.
Itβs quiet on the plate, but full in flavor. Perfect with coffee, or when the day just needs something sweet.
Ingredients
- π§ 1 pack of wafer sheets (5 layers)
- π° 200 g ground walnuts
- π« 100 g dark vegan chocolate
- π₯ 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- π¬ 200 g sugar
- π§ 150 ml water
- π« 100 ml oil (sunflower or neutral)
- π§ A pinch of salt
- (optional) A few drops of vanilla or rum extract
Preparation
- 1οΈβ£ In a saucepan, combine π¬ sugar, π§ water, π« oil, and π« chocolate. Heat gently until melted.
- 2οΈβ£ Stir in π° walnuts, π₯ cocoa, and π§ salt. Mix until the filling is smooth and thick.
- 3οΈβ£ Let the filling cool slightly so itβs easy to spread but not runny.
- 4οΈβ£ Layer the wafers: one sheet, one layer of filling, until you finish with the top wafer left plain.
- 5οΈβ£ Cover with parchment, press down with a board or book, and let sit for several hours or overnight.
- 6οΈβ£ Slice with a sharp knife dipped in hot water for clean cuts.
