Ingredients
- 🥑 Ripe avocado: 200 g flesh (1 large / 7 oz)
- 🌰 Pitted Medjool dates (soaked 10 min in hot water, drained): 80–100 g (4–5 pcs / 2.8–3.5 oz)
- 🥛 Cold milk (dairy or almond): 300 ml (1¼ cups / 10 fl oz)
- 🌿 Tahini: 20 g (1 tbsp / 0.7 oz)
- 🍋 Fresh lemon juice: 5–10 ml (1–2 tsp / 0.17–0.34 fl oz)
- 🧂 Pinch of fine salt
- 🧊 Ice cubes: 120 g (1 cup / 4.2 oz)
- ➕ Optional garnish: crushed pistachios & a drizzle of honey or date syrup
Preparation
- 1️⃣ Prep & chill
- Soak dates 10 min in hot water; drain well. Keep milk and avocado cold.
- 2️⃣ Blend
- Add milk, tahini, lemon juice, salt, soaked dates, and avocado to a blender. Blitz 30–40 sec until smooth. Add ice and blend another 20–30 sec until thick and frosty.
- 3️⃣ Serve
- Taste for sweetness/acid. Pour into chilled glasses; finish with crushed pistachios and (optional) a thin drizzle of honey/date syrup.
