A creamy garlic mushroom topping on crispy, golden toast. It’s simple, satisfying, and feels like something you’d eat at a countryside café — minus the drive. Breakfast, brunch, or lazy dinner? This works every time.
🍄 300g white or brown mushrooms, sliced
🧄 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
🧈 2 tbsp butter
🛢️ 1 tbsp olive oil
🥛 100ml heavy cream
🌿 1 tsp chopped thyme or parsley
🧂 Salt and pepper, to taste
🍞 4 slices of rustic bread (sourdough or similar)
1️⃣ In a skillet, heat 🧈 butter and 🛢️ oil. Sauté mushrooms until golden.
2️⃣ Add 🧄 garlic, cook 1–2 min until fragrant.
3️⃣ Pour in 🥛 cream, season with 🧂 salt, pepper, and 🌿 herbs. Simmer until thickened (~5 min).
4️⃣ Toast 🍞 bread slices in a pan or toaster.
5️⃣ Spoon creamy mushrooms over toast and serve hot.
