Ingredients
🧄 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
🫒 15 ml vegetable oil (1 tbsp)
🫙 30 ml soy sauce (2 tbsp)
🍯 10 g brown sugar (2 tsp)
🍚 10 ml rice vinegar (2 tsp)
🌾 5 g cornstarch (1 tsp)
💧 60 ml water (¼ cup)
🌶️ Optional: pinch of chili flakes
Preparation
1️⃣ In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, water, and cornstarch. Set aside.
2️⃣ Heat oil in a small saucepan. Add garlic and stir for 20–30 seconds, just until fragrant.
3️⃣ Add sauce mixture. Stir constantly until it thickens and turns glossy (about 1–2 minutes).
4️⃣ Remove from heat. Add chili flakes if using. Serve warm or let cool and store in a jar.
