Description

Ingredients

  • 🧄 3 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 🫒 15 ml vegetable oil (1 tbsp)
  • 🫙 30 ml soy sauce (2 tbsp)
  • 🍯 10 g brown sugar (2 tsp)
  • 🍚 10 ml rice vinegar (2 tsp)
  • 🌾 5 g cornstarch (1 tsp)
  • 💧 60 ml water (¼ cup)
  • 🌶️ Optional: pinch of chili flakes

Preparation

  • 1️⃣ In a small bowl, whisk soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, water, and cornstarch. Set aside.
  • 2️⃣ Heat oil in a small saucepan. Add garlic and stir for 20–30 seconds, just until fragrant.
  • 3️⃣ Add sauce mixture. Stir constantly until it thickens and turns glossy (about 1–2 minutes).
  • 4️⃣ Remove from heat. Add chili flakes if using. Serve warm or let cool and store in a jar.
