Description

This simple stir-fry is a Chinese fasting staple β€” tender tofu tossed with aromatic garlic chives, soy sauce, and sesame oil. It’s quick, clean, and surprisingly full of flavor.

  1. 1️⃣ Heat sesame oil in a wok or large pan over medium heat. Add tofu cubes and pan-fry until golden on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. 2️⃣ In the same pan, add garlic and stir until fragrant (30 seconds). Add garlic chives and stir-fry 1–2 minutes.
  3. 3️⃣ Return tofu to the pan. Add soy sauce, vinegar, and chili flakes (if using). Toss to coat evenly.
  4. 4️⃣ Cook 1 more minute. Season to taste. Serve warm with steamed rice.
