Description
This Chinese classic is the perfect balance β tangy, spicy, and deeply warming. With tofu, mushrooms, and vinegar in a rich broth, itβs a bowl of sharp flavors that wakes you up and calms you down at the same time.
Ingredients
π 100 g shiitake mushrooms, sliced (1 cup)
π§ 200 g firm tofu, cut into strips (7 oz)
π§ 50 g bamboo shoots, julienned (Β½ cup)
π§ 2 garlic cloves, minced
π« 5 g fresh ginger, grated (1 tsp)
π« 30 ml soy sauce (2 tbsp)
π 15 ml rice vinegar (1 tbsp)
πΆοΈ Β½ tsp chili oil or chili flakes
πΎ 10 g cornstarch (1 tbsp)
π§ 750 ml vegetable broth (3 cups)
π§ Salt and white pepper to taste
