Ingredients

  • 🌽 400 g sweet corn kernels (14 oz), fresh or frozen
  • 🧈 20 g butter (1.5 tbsp)
  • 🧄 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 🧅 50 g white onion, finely chopped (1.75 oz)
  • 🥣 60 g Mexican crema or sour cream (2 oz)
  • 🧀 40 g crumbled cotija cheese (1.4 oz)
  • 🍋 10 ml lime juice (2 tsp)
  • 🌶 1 g chili powder (¼ tsp)
  • 🧂 Salt to taste
  • 🌿 Optional: chopped cilantro for garnish

Preparation

  • 1️⃣ In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté garlic and onion until translucent.
  • 2️⃣ Add corn and cook 6–8 minutes until slightly charred.
