Ingredients

  • 🥃 Whisky (Indian whisky or bourbon): 60 ml (2 fl oz)
  • 🟤 Tamarind concentrate (unsweetened): 20 ml (0.7 fl oz)
  • 🍋 Fresh lime juice: 30 ml (1 fl oz)
  • 🍯 Simple or jaggery syrup: 15 ml (0.5 fl oz)
  • 🫘 Aquafaba or egg white (optional, for foam): 15 ml (0.5 fl oz)
  • 🧂 Pinch of kala namak or sea salt (optional)
  • ❄️ Ice cubes
  • 🍋 Lime wheel or candied ginger, for garnish

Preparation

  • 1️⃣ (If using aquafaba/egg white) Dry-shake whisky, tamarind, lime, and syrup 10–12 s.
  • 2️⃣ Add ice and shake hard 10–12 s until well-chilled.
  • 3️⃣ Fine-strain into a chilled rocks glass over fresh ice (or into a coupe, no ice).
  • 4️⃣ Optional tiny pinch of salt on top. Garnish and serve.
