Ingredients
For the dough:
🧈 150g butter (softened)
🍬 100g sugar
🥚 2 eggs
🥛 100ml yogurt
🌾 400g all-purpose flour
🥄 1 tsp baking powder
🧂 A pinch of salt
For the filling:
🍎 5 large apples, peeled and grated
🍬 3 tbsp sugar (adjust to taste)
🍋 Juice of ½ lemon
🌰 1 tsp ground cinnamon
🍞 2 tbsp breadcrumbs (to absorb moisture)
Preparation
1. 🥣 In a bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add eggs and yogurt. Mix well.
2. 🌾 Gradually add flour, baking powder, and salt to form a soft dough. Divide in two.
3. 🍎 For the filling, mix grated apples with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and breadcrumbs.
4. 🔲 Press one half of the dough into a greased baking tray (about 25x35cm).
5. 🍏 Spread the apple filling evenly over the dough.
6. 🔲 Roll out or grate the second half of the dough and place it on top.
7. 🔥 Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 35–40 minutes until golden brown.
