Ingredients
🍅 300 g ripe tomatoes (10.5 oz or ~3 medium)
🌶 2 dried arbol chilis, stemmed
🌶 1 dried ancho chili, seeded and torn
🧄 2 garlic cloves, unpeeled
🧅 50 g white onion (1.75 oz)
🧂 Salt to taste
💧 30 ml water (2 tbsp), or as needed
Preparation
1️⃣ Dry-roast tomatoes, garlic, onion, and chilis on a skillet over medium heat until charred (~10 minutes).
2️⃣ Peel garlic and add all roasted ingredients to a blender. Add water and blend until smooth.
3️⃣ Season with salt to taste.
