Description

Ingredients
🥬 300 g green cabbage, finely shredded (10.5 oz)
🥚 2 eggs
🌾 100 g all-purpose flour (3/4 cup / 3.5 oz)
💧 120 ml water or dashi stock (1/2 cup / 4 fl oz)
🧂 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5 g / 0.09 oz)
🧅 2 green onions, thinly sliced
🥓 4 slices of smoked bacon (optional)
🛢️ Oil for frying
🍶 Okonomiyaki sauce, Japanese mayo, dried bonito flakes (for garnish)
Preparation
1️⃣ In a bowl, whisk together flour, water (or dashi), eggs, and salt until smooth.
2️⃣ Add shredded cabbage and green onions. Mix well to coat.
3️⃣ Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
4️⃣ Pour in batter, shape into a thick round, and top with bacon slices.
5️⃣ Cook 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
6️⃣ Transfer to a plate and drizzle with okonomiyaki sauce and mayo. Sprinkle bonito flakes on top.
