Description

Ingredients

  • 🫑 4 small bell peppers
  • 🧀 200 g (about 7 oz) cottage or soft white cheese
  • 🥩 100 g (about 3.5 oz) ham, diced
  • 🥚 2 eggs
  • 🥄 1 tbsp sour cream (optional, for creamier texture)
  • 🧂 Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 🫒 A little oil for greasing the baking dish

Preparation

  • 1️⃣ Wash the peppers, slice off the tops and carefully remove the seeds.
  • 2️⃣ In a bowl, mix together the cheese, ham, eggs, sour cream, salt, and pepper.
  • 3️⃣ Fill each pepper gently—leave a little space at the top to let the filling settle as it bakes.
  • 4️⃣ Arrange in a greased baking dish.
  • 5️⃣ Bake at 200°C (390°F) for about 30 minutes, until the peppers are tender and lightly browned.
  • 6️⃣ Let them rest for 10 minutes before serving.
